2. Addition of more answer options in MCQ’s

CAT 2017 Mock exam have increase the number of options available for MCQ type questions. Even earlier, the candidates had to deal with the answer-specific choices in the CAT exams, this year the MCQ has non-answer specific options as well. There are options like ‘not applicable’, ‘not determinable’ and ‘none of these’. In such options, cat candidates will often be given a specific fix by not giving a specific answer option for multi-option questions. Apart from this, many questions in the CAT 2017 mock test included 5 answer options opposed to the standard 4 answer option.


3. Change in scoring Pattern

Last year, in the MBA entrance examination, 1 mark per question pattern was followed, while this year all MCQ and non-MCQ questions will be of 3 points each. Similarly, the negative marking format for incorrect answers of MCQ has also been changed from the previous year -1 / 3 to -1 mark.
